Fairmont State Women's Basketball Welcomes Frostburg State on Saturday Afternoon

UPDATED SPECTATOR POLICY (EFFECTIVE JANUARY 22ND)

- Fairmont State is coming into Saturday with an overall record of 9-5 and 7-2 in Mountain East Conference play. The Fighting Falcons picked up the 68-59 victory over Davis & Elkins on Wednesday night.

- Kamrin Weimer led the Falcons with 17 points on the night with five three-pointers and added four rebounds to her totals. Sierra Kotchman (14 points) and Alyssa DeAngelo (10 points) joined Kotchman in double figures for the Falcons. Jertaya Hall scored eight points all in the first half as Madeline Huffman and Jalen Gibson each registered seven points with Gibbs picking up 11 rebounds in the contest.

- Redshirt Senior Sierra Kotchman has played and started in 119 consecutive games in her Fighting Falcon career and will be the all-time record holder at Fairmont State of Kaitlin Snyder (2009-2013) with a game played today.

- Head Women's Basketball Coach Stephanie Anderson enters her third season at the helm of the Fighting Falcon program and enters today with an overall record of 31-29 in her coaching career. 

- Fairmont State and Frostburg State will meet for the ninth time all-time in their school's history with the last meeting on February 27th, 2021. On that day, Kotchman's 26-point performance helped her surpass former Shepherd University standout Morgan Arden to become the career scoring leader in the Mountain East Conference women's basketball record book. Kotchman also became the first player in MEC history and the third player in Fairmont State history to score 2,000 career points.

- As a team, Fairmont State enters Wednesday evening third in the country in scoring offense at 84.7 points per game. Glenville State, fellow Mountain East Conference member, leads the nation in scoring offense with 101.0 points per game.

Fairmont State Women's Basketball (9-5, 7-2 MEC) returns to Joe Retton Arena on Monday for a 6 p.m. matchup with Wheeling University in Mountain East Conference play.
