Washington, PA-- Wrestling had a solid day at the W&J Invitational finishing with 8 overall placers and 6th place team finish out of 14 teams. The placers were 125

The light weights combined for a 11-5 on the day.
Brandan Myers upset the number 4 seed of Lycoming 5-1 to advance to the semifinals. He fell to the 1 seed of Thiel in the semifinals and then collected a medical forfeit to collect his bronze medal.
Jasup Spragg had a very impressive day getting all 3 of his wins by bonus points en route to a 6th place medal.
Nate Pelesky cruised into the semifinals with back to back dominant wins. Pelesky fell to the 2 seed from W&J and collected a medical forfeit win for his bronze medal.
Austin Brett also cruised to the semifinals winning both matches by bonus points. Brett fell to the 1 seed of Jamestown Community College in a back and forth battle. He dropped to the 3rd place match where he medical forfeited to Pelesky to finish in 4th place.
Navid Ighani kept his great start to the season rolling with a major decision win in his first match. Then won an absolute war over the number 3 seed of Gettysburg 11-9 to advance to the semifinals. Ighani fell to the number 2 seed of Lycoming College but responded with a 6-2 win en route to his bronze medal.
Jude Childers had a solid day going 3-2 en route to a 6th place finish. He won one match by fall and had another solid 10-4 win over a tough opponent from Pitt-Bradford.
Austin Gibson started the day against the 1 seed from Thiel where he battled hard but came up a little short. Gibson responded well rattling off 3 straight bonus point wins to collect his 5th place medal.
Mason Atkinson went 3-2 on the day as well en route to a 6th place finish. He won two matches by fall as well. Also winning matches for the Fighting Falcons were 141
Mikey Jones going 2-2, 149
Addison Courtney going 3-2 and 174
Evan Thompson going 1-2.
