FAIRMONT, W. Va. - Fairmont State wrestler Colton Stoneking has been selected as the Mountain East Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2025-26.

The Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, native earned his fourth straight NWCA Academic All-American in 2026. Stoneking finished his college career with a 4.0 GPA, after serving as a captain of the wrestling team for three years.

Throughout his four years at Fairmont State, he earned four-time Academic All-MEC honors, was a three-time D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award winner and two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.

Additionally, Stoneking was honored with two of Fairmont State's highest academic honors, the 2025-26 Jasper H. Colebank and Eston K. Feaster Awards.

On the mat, the senior won the 141 pound individual title at the 2026 MEC Championship, and was named MEC Most Outstanding Wrestler. Stoneking also garnished First Team All-MEC honors.

With over 90 wins in his collegiate career, Stoneking completed his collegiate wrestling career at the NCAA Division II Championships, falling by decision in the quarterfinals.

Stoneking majored in Psychology at Fairmont State.

The MEC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year is selected by a vote of institutional administrators and the conference office.
