Alyssa DeAngelo was picked as the MEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Nov. 21) afternoon.

DeAngelo went 9-of-13 from the field, which included five three-point baskets. The junior guard scored the most points in a single Fairmont State contest since Sierra Kotchman scored 38 points versus Wheeling on Feb. 13, 2021. DeAngelo leads the 3-0 Fighting Falcons in points per game (24.3), three-point baskets made (9) and made field goals (21).
DeAngelo and the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons will be back in action tomorrow (Nov. 22) at West Virginia Wesleyan for a 5:30 p.m. start.
