BRIDGEPORT, W.Va – Fairmont State's Navid Ighani has been chosen as the Mountain East Conference Wrestler of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, the conference revealed on Monday (Nov. 7).
 
Ighani, a sophomore from Gaithersburg, Md., won four out of five matches this week, which included victories over Alderson Broaddus, Glenville State, Notre Dame College and Emory & Henry. Three out of his four victories were by bonus points.

Ighani and the Fairmont State wrestling squad are set to welcome Davis & Elkins in the Fighting Falcons' home opener on Wednesday (Nov. 9) at 7 p.m.
