BRIDGEPORT, W.V.a-- Caleb Everhart was named Mountain East Conference Wrestler of the Week, provided by The Health Plan, the conference announced on Monday (Dec. 12).

Everhart went 6-0 at the Cougar Duals to help lead the Fairmont State Wrestling Team to a 5-1 day and a third place finish. Everhart started the day with a quick win by fall over Saint Andrews then followed up with a solid 3-1 decision over Averett. Everhart then won by fall over Emory & Henry and won by forfeit against Southwest Virginia and Patrick Henry. He then ended his undefeated day in dramatic fashion hitting a 6-point move with 10 seconds left to win 8-7 over Averett in the third place match. The win was critical as the Fighting Falcons came out on top 19-18 in the third place competition. 

The Fairmont State Wrestling team is off until Dec. 19, when they will take on West Virginia University at the Coliseum at 7 p.m.
