Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. -- On Saturday, Fairmont State women's tennis earned the 4-1 match victory at Davis & Elkins and improved to 3-2 in Mountain East Conference contests.

The Falcons earned the doubles point via wins on courts No. 1 and 3 with Ainara Pastor Garcia and Emme McKnight teaming up for the 6-3 victory at the No.1 position. Hannah Sprout and Ana Carolina Tacchi won 6-2 at the third court to claim the 1-0 lead for Fairmont State.

Candela Sevilla notched the second point for the Falcons with the 6-2, 6-1 straight-set victory at the second court over D&E's Chavana Sreenath.

McKnight went 2-0 on the day with a straight-set victory at the No.3 court over Senator Eloise Hutton (6-4, 7-6). Pastor Garcia clinched the match for the Falcons with the three-set victory at the No.1 court (6-4, 4-6, 7-5).

Fairmont State returns to the courts on Thursday, April 21 as the Falcons will host the University of Charleston on Senior Day.
