FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Fairmont State wrestling team (10-12, 3-1 Mountain East Conference) dropped its final MEC regular season dual to Glenville State (10-6, 3-0 MEC) on Wednesday (Jan. 11) night at Joe Retton Arena.

Colton Stoneking (149 lbs) and
Kolton Parsons (157 lbs) kicked of the evening by each collecting a forfeit win that gave Fairmont State 12 points. GSU strung together a major decision and a pair of technical falls to pull ahead, 14-12.
Aydan Edwards pinned his opponent in the 197 lbs bout and put Fairmont State back in the lead by four points. The Pioneers finished the dual by racking up four-straight falls and won the match, 38-18.

Before the dual, senior
Thomas Graden was recognized for his accomplishments as a member of the Fairmont State wrestling program. The Jacksonville, Fla. native has wrestled for four seasons at Fairmont State and succeeds in the classroom. Graden has landed on the Presidents' List each semester.

The Fairmont State wrestling team will be back on the mat this Sunday (Jan. 15) at the Mount Union Open in Alliance, Ohio.Â
