FROSTBURG, Md. -- The Fairmont State (2-1, 0-1 Mountain East Conference) wrestling team battled at Frostburg State (3-0, 2-0) with the Bobcats claiming a 21-20 win on Wednesday (Nov. 8) night at Bobcat Arena in Frostburg, Md.

Colton Stoneking continued to wrestle well with a win in the 141-pound class in a 10-7 decision over Thierno Diallo. The dual remained close throughout and
Navid Ighani's 16-12 decision win in the 174-pound bout over Duncan Kammar brought Fairmont State within six points of the Bobcats. Even Thompson's 18-3 technical fall win over Joseph Colony in the 184-pound match pulled Fairmont State within one point of Frostburg State.
Dwayne Johnson recorded the first pin of the dual in the 197-pound dual over William Applegarth in 6:10 that gave the Falcons a 20-15 lead heading into the final dual of the night. The Bobcats secured a pin in the 285-pound bout and edged the Falcons, 21-20.
The Fairmont State wrestling team is back in tournament play this weekend at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational on Saturday (Nov. 11) in Washington, Pa.
