Danville, VA-- Wrestling competed at the Cougar Duals at Averett University yesterday and went 2-3 overall. They started the day off hot getting wins over Emory & Henry 43-9 and Waynesburg University 47-11 but unfortunately dropped their next 3 matches. They dropped their last match in pool play to Ferrum 36-11 and then fell to a consolation tri meet with Apprentice and Belmont Abbey. They fell to Belmont Abbey 25-12 and lost a barn burner in their last match to Apprentice 25-20. 

Leading the way for your Fighting Falcons were Dwayne Johnson and Colton Stoneking going 5-0. Johnson is currently on a 8 match win streak. Brandan Myers and Nate Pelesky put together impressive days both going 4-1. Trace Ragland won 3 matches by bonus points, Navid Ighani won 2 matches and Ethan Babay won two matches by fall. 

The Fairmont State wrestling team is off until next Sunday December 17th where they will travel to the West Liberty Duals.
