BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced Friday morning its women's soccer all-conference teams. Fairmont State women's soccer had five players receive postseason honors.
Serenity Thomas was named All-MEC First Team for the 2024 campaign. Thomas leads the Falcons in points (23) and goals (10).
Fairmont State had two players land All-MEC Second Team honors in
Ashley Rainho and
Filippa Stalhammar. Rainho ended the regular season with two goals and five assists for a total of nine points. Stalhammar represented the back line with a strong defensive presence while also scoring four goals and an assist.
Braylyn Sparks was named Honorable Mention as she ranks second on the team in points (11) and leads the Falcons with seven assists.
Sam Yuen was named to the All-MEC Freshmen Team as she currently has nine points with four goals and an assist.
Fairmont State faces Concord University on Sunday, November 10 for the quarterfinals of the MEC Tournament. First kick is set for 1:00 p.m.
