NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Fairmont State University men's and women's tennis teams faced off against Walsh University. The men's team was victorious over the Cavaliers, 4-3, while the women's side fell, 6-1.

The first point for the men's team came in doubles as they picked up wins at second and third doubles. Elia Barozzi and Seena Saadevandi won second doubles, 6-2, while the team of Hugo Massoni and Alex Stacy claimed third doubles, 6-3.

At singles, Barozzi won first singles after his opponent retired in the third set. Mohamed Moens gave Fairmont State its third point at fifth singles with comeback win in three sets (4-6, 6-4, 6-1). The match came down to sixth singles as Massoni won the opening set, 6-2. He then dropped the second set (6-3) but battled back and won the third set, 6-2, to win the match for the Falcons.

On the women's side, the pairing of Maria Fonseca and Jada Mae Okoye won the only doubles match for the Falcons, 6-4. Fonseca went on to win her match at first singles, 6-3 and 6-0.
