BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Women's Basketball Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State's Leslie Huffman shared the MEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award.

Huffman, a 5-10 senior from Marietta, Ohio, has led Fairmont State to a 4-0 start to the season, including a pair of victories last week. In those two wins, Huffman averaged 26.5 points per game, shooting 46.3 percent from the field and grabbing 8.0 rebounds per game. She also collected five steals between the two wins.
