PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. — Fairmont State University women's golf secured eighth place with a total score of 692 at the 2026 Pawley's Island Beach Bash at Litchfield Country Club, highlighted by
Emerson Simons tying for fifth individually with a 154.
Emerson Simons delivered a standout performance, finishing tied for fifth place with a total score of 154 (+10). She consistently shot 77 (+5) in both rounds and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Candela Lopez improved her performance in the second round, carding an 81 (+9) after an initial round of 88 (+16). Her total of 169 (+25) secured her a tie for 34th place in the competition.
Marra Johnson concluded the event in 52nd place with a final score of 181 (+37). She showed improvement in the second round, shooting an 89 (+17) after a 92 (+20) in the opening round.
Gianna Koski finished in 56th place with a cumulative score of 188 (+44). She lowered her score in the second round to 90 (+18), building on her first round of 98 (+26).
Fairmont State will host the Larry and Wally Edgell Battle at Brunswick in Calabash, North Carolina. The tournament starts on Friday, March 13 and concludes on Saturday, March 14.
