BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State's Montserrat Diaz is the MEC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Diaz, a senior from Costa Rica, took care of both of the Falcons' goals in a 2-1 win against Point Park. She opened the scoring in the 37th minute, and then added an insurance goal in the 53rd minute. She finished with three shots, two on goal, and the game-winner.
