John Lowery (Baseball, 1967-68)
* Two-year letterwinner on the Fairmont State baseball team
* Helped lead the Falcons to a pair of WVIAC Championships (1967, 1968)
* Moved on to become one of the top high school baseball coaches in the country
* Long-time baseball coach at Jefferson High School (1973-Present)
* Has won 12 state championships and has advanced to the state finals 16 times
* Has also led Jefferson to 30 sectional titles, 24 regional titles and has made 24 state tournament appearances
* Named National Coach of the Year in 2001 and Mideast Section Coach of the Year in 2011
* Inducted into National High School Hall of Fame in 2002 and West Virginia Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2003
* Inducted into the National High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2009
* The West Virginia Sports Writers Association Baseball Player of the Year Award is now named after Lowery
* Picked up his 1,300th win during the 2018 season
