Hall of Fame
Larry distinguished himself as both a student-athlete and coach at Fairmont State, leaving a lasting legacy across multiple sports. As a linebacker for the Falcon football team, Hill was a two-time All-WVIAC selection (1965, 1966) and earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors in 1966. He graduated from Fairmont State in 1967 with a degree in Education and went on to earn his master’s in health education from West Virginia University in 1970.

Following his playing career, Hill began coaching at his alma mater, first serving as an assistant football coach before taking the reins of the Fairmont State volleyball program in 1984. Over the next three decades, Hill built the program into a perennial contender, amassing 633 career victories and guiding the Falcons to five conference championships (1988, 1989, 1990, 1998, 1999).
