In his many accomplishments on the gridiron, Tim Byard was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-America in 1982 after leading the Falcons with 107 tackles. Byard ranks eighth, in his career, in school history in both total tackles (330) and solo tackles (162). Byard was also named National Player of the Week in 1982 and became the fourth player, at that time, to be honored with national recognition.
